Canberra Activities:

There’s plenty going on in Canberra this week:

Open Training - Come along to UNSW Canberra Oval on Friday at 2pm (approx) to watch the GIANTS train in their final Captain’s Run before Saturday’s clash.

Banner Making - Come along and help the cheersquad make the run through banner at EPIC from 7:30pm. Banner making will be in the Snowy River Room which can be accessed via Gate 2 off Flemington Road with parking available adjacent to the room.

UNSW Canberra Oval is located on Manuka Circle, Griffith ACT 2603.

Fan Zone:

The Fan Zone has moved for this game! Make sure you visit our new and improved set up outside the East Gate with the Fan Zone inflatable, Big Kick inflatable, St George inflatable, Toyo Tires Game On, a DJ, first timers, membership marquee, UNSW Canberra stand and Fizzics Educations with some fun experiments.

Public Transport and Parking:

Bus: Free chartered buses will be running for GIANTS members and Ticket holders for all the GIANTS games at UNSW Canberra Oval, Canberra this season. Head to ACTION Buses for more details.

ACTION Buses operate a number of buses from and to the following bus interchanges:

- Gungahlin Town Centre
- Woden
- Tuggeranong
- City
- Belconnen Interchanges

The specific times for each service can be found at: ACTION Buses or by phoning 13 17 10.

Car: Public car parking is available at a number of locations around Manuka Oval including Kingston Shopping Centre; Manuka Shopping Centre, Kingston Oval and surrounding streets.

Patrons are reminded not to leave valuables in their cars as they are responsible for the security of their own vehicles.

Disabled Parking is directly outside the Main Gate of UNSW Canberra Oval with limited spaces available. Vehicles must display authorised permits to gain access.

Major Event Parking: General Parking is available at Kingston and Manuka Shopping Centres, Kingston Oval and surrounding streets. Please refer to the seating plan to see which entrance would be most convenient to gain access to your seats.

The GIANTS team will be named on gwsgiants.com.au at 6.25pm on Thursday evening with the final team to be named 90 minutes before the match.

Organ and Tissue Authority

The AFL, all 18 AFL Clubs and the Australian Government, through the Organ and Tissue Authority, are pleased to announce a partnership to support DonateLife Week 2017 and organ donation. In an industry first, the AFL and all 18 AFL Clubs will come together to promote DonateLife Week this week. DonateLife Week runs from July 30 to August 6 and aims to encourage Australians to make their organ donation decision count by joining the Australian Organ Donor Register online, to help end the wait for the 1,400 Australians in needs of a life-saving transplant.
